Another year, another sunset show at Sanicole. This year there were a lot of cancelations, but it was a fun afternoon and evening none the less. I am still getting the hang of shooting under these dark conditions, and trying to edit the results. The Mig / Lim was having a good time zooming past back and forth, afterburner and all…
We were lucky with the weather, and even had some nice backdrops as the sun vanished behind the clouds. No real sunset light, but every now and then you could catch a nice frame. Here’s the German Tonka (again) creating some jelly.
The fast jets were really missed this year, but the German Tonka did their best to warm up the crowd.
This guy was pretty special too. Must have been one hell of a surprise to see this bird appear flying over western Europe 82 years ago. It’s a replica, but it looks the part.
Were you there all weekend Roger? The weather was horrendous wasn’t it. I really do feel for the organisers
Darren
I was there for the sunset show on Saturday only. We were lucky with the weather, as the Sunday was indeed rained out. A real shame for the people attending and the organizers.
Absolutely! Funny thing is, I started getting updates for sanicole earlier in the year and kept debating if I should go or not. I was only work that stopped me to be honest. I’m so glad I didn’t now. A real shame but, we have all been there!
