Is there anybody out there.
I feel im battling alone here
What can we do to get new members here and interacting.

Give it time mate, social media still dominates and there are other established forums with photography sections to compete with. I donāt think Roger wanted to promote it, just see where it goes. Youāve done brilliantly so far, hopefully with more content weāll see more people engaging.
Hi kev. It wasnt a critisism, more a tongue in cheek observation intended to get members chatting.
Indeed social media still prevails but you know as well as i do, photography no longer has a place on the socials. Im fully expecting this place to do well in time.
Thanks for the words of encouragement, kev. I do keep posting in the hope we get members engaging more but i dont want people thinking its turned into the āDiscodaz showā.
Darren
No worries. Post as much or little as you want. All I am asking for is to pick and choose wisely
I have no desire to create another medium where people feel the need to keep posting to gather likes (nothing wrong with people who love to do this). For me itās fun to come back after a couple of days to see whatās new (maybe itās because Iām getting old) and occasionally post some of my old photographs. Call it slow mediaā¦
I myself wonāt post that much, because Iām not going out to shoot that much. Plus winter is comingā¦
So keep on keeping on and weāll enjoy each otherās work the way each of us likes to.
I agree, i would hate this place to become like other forums where you are afraid to post incase the clique pounce.
Darren
We tried to avoid that on the old Fencecheck but because of the sheer numbers a few little cliques formed, something I hate. Lets keep this one inclusive regardless of experience.
That is the problem with sucess. I know, i used to run my own forum back in the day.
As for choosing wisely im assuming its a reference to member invites.
Trust me, all who i invite are really nice passionate people. I cant stand cliques and pathetic bickering. Its one of the reasons i dont do facebook. Im not after likes, post count status or any notoriety, i simply want to post my photos where i know they will be appreciated. If one person passes positive comment on a photo then that means more to me than a thousand mindless likes on the socials. Anyone can like a photo because its of interest on their feed, but who actually really looks at the photo.
Darren
Nah, I think most people know who to invite. Iām more talking about posting. Only post the photography that you really happy with and has at least some minimal amount of editing done to it. And from what Iāve seen posted I think we all know what that means
Sorry, Iāve been shooting college sports and havenāt been posting here as much. Should slow down as I hate basketball. lol
All kidding aside. Iāve been busy getting into the groove at my new job (if youāre into camping, camper vans, check out the app Iām working on at https://campy.app).
Planning on shooting some stuff here and there this year though and I hope people keep dropping by and sharing some good stuff.
Hope everybody is well and had a good start of 2025.
I will be back soon. Just finishing a huge project at work so my time is limited at the mo.
Btw Rog, i have a big caravan and love camping so will take a look later

Pease has been dead the last 2 months. Iāve gone weeks without even shooting down there. Luckily just got back from 4 days of RF 25-2.
