Lovely shots. Particularly that first and last one. Lumps and bumps are cool and I love those Vikings in hi-viz color schemes.

Very nice Kev.

Thanks both of you, i miss that sound, similar to the A-10. All the stuff with a personality is disappearing.

You’re not wrong Kev. I do RIAT every year. 5 years ago an f35 was a big draw. Now every nation is getting it so it’s becoming “same old, same old” in another 5 years it’s all we will see at air shows. The phasing out of icons like the Tornado, phantom,f16s etc can only lead to duller shows imo. It’s not as though you can ( or should I say, is likely to happen) the f35s get special liveries like the German typhoons, Tornados etc.

It’s funny isnt it, 10 years ago when RIAT might have 5 F-16 demos we all got a bit bored of those, now we only have the Greek and Turkish demos left, maybe Poland so probably 2 at most at future shows? They’re becoming the rarity. Thank god for the French and Swedish and the Typhoon to mix it up for a few more years yet.

Absolutely. I’m a big gripen fan so that’s always great to see. Hungary, Sweden and the Czech Republic all have a demo team.
