Old Arkansas Guard “Flying Razorbacks” F-16A 83-1087 at Nellis for Red Flag 99-1, Oct 1998. This was late Friday at the end of period one when RF units used to swap out on the middle Saturdays after 2 weeks, made for a very busy day!

4th FS F-16C on the flightline at Hill in Oct 2000, before sunshades made ramp photography difficult and it was possible to just call Public Affairs and get a short visit for photos the same day!

The light was perfect, late afternoon. Just pure luck as the day had been overcast and raining and our escort could have been available earlier and the photos would have been rubbish, but as it was he rang back mid afternoon to say he had time for us just as the weather cleared. Luck plays a huge part!
